In European legends, Basilisk is considered to be the king of serpents; its horns grows in the shape of a crown and 'basileus' in Greek language means 'king'. It is said that it can cause death with a single glance! Old tales describe it as being born from a spherical egg laid by a serpent and hatched by a toad. The Basilisk's appearance has always been a matter of dispute since there is no way to see a basilisk and survive. Here you have exclusive opportunity to see how it really looks like for the first time!

This is a beautiful piece, the different levels of line work are really sophisticated. And the balance of the script is designed beautifully. I would love to see a whole series of monsters done in this fashion.
